What is your process?

Atlanta Crime Scene Cleanup responds immediately to all biohazard and crime scene cleanup requests.  We obtain the necessary information from you on the initial call, dispatch our technicians, and even can arrange for a chaplain or grief counselor to be made available.  Once we arrive on the scene, we will perform an initial assessment of the area, provide an estimate in writing for the work to be performed, and then we completely remove the biohazard from the scene, thus making the area safe and free from the visual reminder of the event.


How long does it take?

We dispatch our technicians from a central location and generally are on scene between 1 - 3 hours depending on travel time.  The length of time we are on scene will vary depending on how extensive the area affected is.  Generally, the work is completed between 2 - 6 hours.  Once we assess the scene we can provide a more accurate time that the task will take.


Can we cleanup the scene ourselves?

OSHA regulations prohibit employees from cleaning biohazard scenes unless specific requirements are met first.  Family members or friends involved with the event are discouraged from cleaning the scene due the added trauma it will cause and the inability to properly dispose of the biohazard.  Biohazard disposal is regulated waste and it must be handled in a specific fashion per law.  It cannot be disposed of as regular trash or taken to a landfill.  Atlanta Crime Scene Cleanup is compliant with all state and federal regulations and tracking documents of proper disposal is provided upon request.


What are the costs?

Who pays for the cleanup?
